Married after six months dating

My girlfriend is getting married in June and she will have only known the guy for a little over a year. But, after six weeks I knew for certain that he was the one.

He is a great guy, but they were both in very serious relationships b4 this one and I don't want to see this end because it turns out to be a rebound fling or something. I just had to wait around for him to figure it out too.

Please tell me some good news that these kinds of relationships last and don't end in divorce. Cervaise and I got married about a year and a half after we met, got engaged about 9 months after we met.

Randy Olson, a data analyst and Computer Science graduate research assistant, made graphs that break down the survey's findings — which Olson points out are trends in correlation, not causation.Couples who date for 3 years or more have better chances of staying together and a more stable marriage. The findings mimic those of a 2006 study which found that couples who have dated less than 6 months before marriage had the highest divorce rate.It really depends on the people involved, and the reasons why they get married when they do. Most people realize that you shouldn’t get married too quickly after meeting someone, and the one long-term study I’ve found on the subject seems to back that up.There are a couple of reasons why a short dating period can cause problems in marriage: Marriage is really about commitment, so the real question is whether you are willing to commit to this person for the rest of your life, and whether you can trust them when they say they’re willing to do the same. Now, sometimes you can trust them more quickly if other trustworthy people have known the person through close community for a long time, and can vouch for them.
